Perspective Mixer

The Mixer answers "what will this agent receive?" for the current consumer, objective and preview input. One row per context layer, ordered by priority. By default it shows seven columns:

ColumnMeaning
Context layerSelect to edit its rule in the Inspector.
ParticipationYour intent — Auto / Include / Exclude. It edits the draft only.
DeliveryInline · By relevance (retrieve) · On demand (expansion references).
RenderedItems in the rendered context, None, or Unknown when availability or applicability is unknown.
≈ Est. tokensEstimated tokens rendered for the layer.
CurrentnessRule-declared freshness of the participating material.
WhyThe owner reason in plain language (the exact code is in the tooltip and the Inspector).

Advanced shows every stage separately — the columns below — and the Inspector's All selection stages lists them for one layer in either mode. The Mixer takes the height its rows need (up to 60% of the window) so the canvas keeps the rest.

Column (Advanced)Meaning
SourceBound source(s).
AvailableMaterial exists for the layer.
ApplicableThe layer applies to this consumer, objective and input (Unknown when an input fact is missing).
DesiredYour intent — Auto / Include / Exclude. The only control in the row; it edits the draft, never sources or authority.
Modeinline · retrieve · on-demand.
SelectedThe Context Kernel decision (Selected, On demand, Not selected).
Mat. / Proj. / Rend.Items materialized, facet projected, items rendered — separate stages.
≈ TokensEstimated tokens rendered for the layer.
CurrentRule-declared freshness of the participating material.
AccessAlways Read only: a source connection never implies authority.
ConsumedUnknown at design time — only a consumer report can establish consumption.
ReasonThe exact owner reason (tooltip shows the code and availability/applicability reasons).

The header shows the preview input (any test scenario or a custom input), the profile and the budget bar. Every change re-resolves the draft; Compare shows saved vs draft; Save accepts. Colours always come with a glyph and words: ● positive, ? unknown, ▲ stale/blocked/warning, ✕ failure, ○ not selected, ◆ intent.
